Hypertension post (Oct 1, 2018)

Hello everybody. I hope all of you are doing great. It is time for the next post.

In my last post, I discussed the numbers that denote high blood pressure, so I thought today I will take it one step further. In today’s post, we will define what the systolic and diastolic blood pressures actually mean. We will also talk about risk factors that predispose people to develop hypertension. I call it the rule of six, why, because there are six risk factors that are modifiable, and six risk factors that are unmodifiable. People at risk of developing hypertension should pay special attention to the modifiable ones, and work as hard as possible to make an impact on them.

And finally we will talk about what steps can be taken to improve blood pressure control, and reduce the risk of adverse outcomes. There are nine recommendations and I feel that if serious efforts are put to get these nine right, then hypertension can be successfully managed or prevented altogether.

So happy reading and please do not forget to post your comments.

I thank you for taking the time to visit my website. We have a lot of work to do to defeat the menace of hypertension. Please join me in my quest to eradicate this disease from our planet. This is the best gift we can give to our future generations.
