Thank you for visiting my website. Let me take some time to introduce myself to you.
I am an actively practicing physician in Houston, Texas with 15 years of active clinical experience. I received my medical education from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. Later, I completed residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia and fellowship in Nephrology & Hypertension at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. I am board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. I have worked in multiple healthcare settings both as a hospitalist and nephrologist including outpatient, acute care hospitals, acute rehabilitation facilities, hemodialysis units and long term acute care hospitals.
My main focus of interest is in the epidemiology, population demographics, risk factors, prevention, evaluation and treatment of hypertension. Hypertension has been called the silent killer because it can cause a lot of damage without causing significant symptoms which leads to it going unnoticed for long periods of time. It is my dream to envision a world without hypertension and its complications. Due to my passion for hypertension, I obtained special certification from American Society of Hypertension as a Clinical Hypertension Specialist. I am also a member of American Heart Association's Hypertension Council and actively participate in the activities of the Council.
It is my intent to provide fresh, innovative and useful content through this website regarding hypertension and related subjects. I hope you would like it.
